Switzerland and Canada reach the Round of 32 at the 2026 World Cup from Group B

The third-round matches of the 2026 World Cup group stage in Group B have been completed. As a result, Switzerland and Canada have advanced directly to the Round of 32.

In the key match of the round, Switzerland defeated Canada 2-1. Thanks to this victory, the Swiss team finished with 7 points and took first place in the group. In the first knockout round, Switzerland will face one of the teams that finished third in their group.

Canada, despite the defeat, remained second in Group B. The Canadians collected 4 points and finished ahead of Bosnia on additional indicators. In the Round of 32, Canada will play against the second-placed team from Group A. Their opponent could be South Korea, South Africa or Czechia.
