Armenia U20 complete impressive comeback to beat Albania at EuroBasket

The Armenia U20 basketball team defeated Albania in the playoffs for 17th–21st places at the FIBA U20 European Championship Division B. The game ended 74–57.
Armenia trailed by 12 points during the third quarter but managed to turn the game around. The Armenian team produced an impressive run in the final period, winning the quarter 32–9 and securing a convincing victory.
Jahmel Bruce was the leading scorer of the game and recorded a double-double with 30 points and 13 rebounds.
Nerses Avagyan, who represents Armenian club Atis, also played a key role in the comeback. Replacing the injured Xavier Killislian, Avagyan scored 16 points and made three of his six three-point attempts.
Valeri Aghajanyan also made an important contribution, collecting 15 rebounds and scoring one point.
It was Armenia’s first victory of the tournament after five defeats in the group stage. The Armenian team will continue its campaign in the playoffs for 17th–21st places at the U20 EuroBasket.
