Armenia U18 finish fifth at EuroBasket Division C

The Armenian U18 men’s basketball team completed its campaign at the FIBA U18 EuroBasket Division C in Albania, finishing fifth overall.
In the fifth-place game, Areg Vatyan’s team defeated Moldova 106–96.
Forward Anthony Sarkisian was Armenia’s standout performer in the game. He recorded a double-double with 25 points and 13 rebounds.
The 15-year-old, who stands 200 cm tall, had previously been named MVP of the FIBA U16 EuroBasket Division C, which Armenia won.
Just one week later, Sarkisian joined the U18 national team and once again emerged as one of its leaders. He averaged 16.8 points and 10.3 rebounds per game during the tournament.
Armenia U18 played five games at the competition. The team recorded victories over Gibraltar, San Marino and Moldova, while suffering defeats against Kosovo and Andorra.
