Yerevan-based Pyunik have ended their UEFA Conference League campaign. In the second qualifying round return leg, Artak Oseyan’s side were held to a goalless draw by Hungarian club Debrecen in Yerevan. Pyunik lost the tie 1-0 on aggregate.
The defeat was particularly disappointing, as the Armenian side were at least a match for their opponents across both legs. However, the only goal conceded during the tie ultimately proved decisive.
The draw in the return leg earned Armenia 0.125 points in the UEFA coefficient rankings. Pyunik contributed a total of 0.625 points during this European campaign — the highest tally among Armenian clubs this season.
In the first qualifying round, Pyunik defeated Maltese side Marsaxlokk twice, winning 3-0 and 1-0.
