Official: Khoren Bayramyan leaves Rostov and joins Ural

Former Armenia national team midfielder Khoren Bayramyan will continue his career at Ural. The Yekaterinburg club has officially announced the transfer of the 34-year-old footballer.

Bayramyan left Rostov after the expiration of his contract. He spent almost his entire professional career at the Don club: he made his first-team debut in 2011 and, over 15 seasons, played 261 matches, scored 12 goals and provided 20 assists.

With Rostov, Bayramyan became a silver medalist of the Russian championship, played in European competitions and faced Manchester United in the Europa League. In total, he has made 216 appearances in the Russian Premier League.

Ural will become the fifth club of Bayramyan’s career. He previously also played for Rotor, Volgar and Rubin, but Rostov became the main club of his football life.

From 2020 to 2023, Khoren Bayramyan played for the Armenia national team. The midfielder made 22 appearances and scored 2 goals for the national side.

The player admitted that he had an opportunity to stay at Rostov, but not as a footballer. However, Bayramyan is not planning to end his playing career yet.

“I still want to play football. Ural have the task of returning to the RPL, and I want to help achieve it,” Bayramyan said.

Khoren also addressed the Rostov fans, who supported him for many years.

“No matter where I am now, know one thing: you will forever be in my heart,” the footballer noted.

Ural will play in the First League in the new season and intend to fight for a return to the Russian Premier League.
