The second-round Group I match between Iraq and France at the 2026 FIFA World Cup is in danger of being postponed due to severe weather conditions in Philadelphia.

Ahead of the game, a thunderstorm and heavy rain warning was issued at the stadium where the Group I fixture is scheduled to take place. According to pre-match reports, the area around the arena has been hit by torrential rain, while access to the stadium has been temporarily restricted.

Fans have been forbidden from approaching the stadium, the fan zone has been closed, and access to the arena area is limited until further notice. These measures have been taken for safety reasons because of thunderstorm activity and heavy rainfall.

However, at the moment, there has been no official decision to postpone the Iraq vs France match. The game remains on the schedule, although the situation may change depending on weather conditions and the decision of the organizers.

The Iraq vs France match is scheduled to take place in Philadelphia as part of the second round of Group I at the 2026 FIFA World Cup.
