Grant-Leon Ranos Scores His First Goal for Tenerife (VIDEO)

Armenia national team striker Grant-Leon Ranos scored his first goal for Tenerife. The forward opened the scoring in a friendly match against Marino, a Spanish regional-league club.

Ranos found the net in the ninth minute of the match. The Armenian striker pressed effectively, took advantage of a defender’s mistake and beat the opposing goalkeeper.

The forward played the first half, which ended 1–0. After the break, Tenerife scored five more goals and secured an emphatic 6–0 victory. Striker Victor Moreno completed a hat-trick and could compete with Ranos for a place in the team.

It was Ranos’ second friendly appearance for his new club. He had previously joined Tenerife on a permanent transfer from Borussia Mönchengladbach.

The Spanish club continues its preparations for the new La Liga 2 season. Tenerife will play its first official match against Eibar on August 16. Before the start of the league campaign, the team will play several more warm-up matches, the next of which is scheduled for July 29 against Anaza.
