Armenian National Anthem Played in Baku in Honor of Janes Nazaryan (VIDEO)

An awards ceremony for the winners of the U17 Greco-Roman Wrestling World Championships in the 71 kg weight category was held in Baku.

Armenia’s Janes Nazaryan stood on the top step of the podium, while the Armenian national anthem was played in his honor in the capital of Azerbaijan.

In the final bout, the Armenian wrestler secured a hard-fought 4–3 victory over Russia’s Aslan Dzuev. Nazaryan was trailing 1–3 after the first period but managed to turn the match around and claim the gold medal.

This achievement made Janes Nazaryan a U17 world champion for the second time.
