Armenia international forward Finn Geragusian has been included in Sunderland’s first-team squad for the club’s pre-season tour of the United States.
The English club named the 18-year-old striker in its initial 26-player squad for the trip. Régis Le Bris’ side will spend one week in Nashville, Tennessee, before playing a series of friendly matches.
“Standing at 193 cm, Geragusian is a powerful centre-forward who recently signed his first professional contract with the club. Despite his young age, he has already represented Armenia’s senior national team and arrives in the United States aiming to continue his impressive progress,” Sunderland’s official website stated.
The first match of the US tour will take place on July 25, when Sunderland face Liverpool at Geodis Park in Nashville.
The English side will then play Leeds United in New Jersey on July 30 before concluding its stateside schedule against Wrexham in Pennsylvania on August 2.
Geragusian previously made his first-team debut for Sunderland in a friendly match against York in England. The Armenia international has now travelled abroad for a training camp with the club’s senior squad for the first time.
