The 27-year-old forward Edgar Movsesyan has returned to Armenia after spells in Cyprus and Greece and signed a contract with Yerevan-based Ararat.
The footballer spent last season in the second divisions of Cyprus and Greece. Movsesyan previously played in the Armenian championship for Urartu, Noah and Van.
Ararat have significantly revamped their squad this season. The club parted ways with five foreign players and has opted to rely primarily on Armenian footballers.
The team’s new arrivals are Varazdat Haroyan, Narek Alaverdyan, Arman Khachatryan, Benik Hovhannisyan, Petros Alekyan and Edgar Movsesyan. Russian goalkeeper Nikita Lobusov has also joined the Yerevan club.
