2026/27 Nations League Draw: How to Watch and What to Expect

The 2026/27 UEFA Nations League group stage draw will take place on February 12 in Brussels and will begin at 18:00 CET (21:00 Yerevan time, 20:00 Moscow time).

The tournament will once again feature 54 national teams divided into four divisions — A, B, C and D.

Where and How to Watch

The live stream will be available on UEFA’s official website (UEFA.tv) and on the organization’s YouTube channel. National broadcasters in several countries will also air the ceremony live.

Draw Format

The format remains unchanged:

• Leagues A, B and C — 16 teams each, split into four groups of four

• Each team will play six matches (home and away against every opponent)

• League D — six teams, two groups of three

• Each team will play four matches

The procedure starts with League D, followed by Leagues C and B, and concludes with League A.

Restrictions

• Prohibited pairing: Bosnia and Herzegovina — Kosovo

• Limit on “winter” nations in one group

• Excessive travel restrictions (especially relevant for League C)

For example, a group consisting of Iceland — Armenia — Cyprus is not possible.
If Armenia draw Iceland from Pot 1, then Faroe Islands, Cyprus and Estonia cannot be in the same group.

League C: Pre-Draw Outlook

Armenia will compete in League C and have been placed in Pot 2 — a positive outcome.

Pot 2: Finland, Slovakia, Bulgaria, Armenia
Pot 3: Belarus, Faroe Islands, Cyprus, Estonia

What Pot 2 Means for Armenia

Armenia avoid Finland, Slovakia and Bulgaria.

From Pot 1, Albania and Iceland appear the toughest opponents based on their current 2026 World Cup qualifying form.

Faroe Islands deserve special attention after previous success against Armenia and continued progress.

Potential balanced group:
Kazakhstan — Armenia — Belarus — Moldova

Importance of the Tournament

The 2026/27 Nations League results will affect seeding for the Euro 2028 qualifiers. Group winners will receive a playoff route if they fail to qualify directly.
