On April 26, the 2025 European Judo Championships wrapped up in Podgorica, the capital of Montenegro. On the final, fourth day of the tournament, medals were contested in the men's 100 kg and +100 kg categories, as well as the women's 78 kg and +78 kg categories.

Team standings:
The Russian team claimed first place with 3 gold, 3 silver, and 1 bronze medals. The French team won the most total medals but placed second due to fewer silver medals: 3 gold, 2 silver, and 5 bronze. Strong performances were also shown by the Georgian team (2 gold, 2 silver) and the Italian team (1 gold, 2 silver, 5 bronze).
The Armenian team finished in 22nd place. The only point for Armenia was brought by Ashik Andreyan (60 kg), who placed fifth.
