An international Development Cup tournament for youth national teams in the U14 and U15 age categories will take place in Yerevan. All matches will be held at the pitches of the FFA Technical Center/Football Academy.

Ahead of the competition, Armenia’s national teams will hold training camps. The U15 team will prepare from May 4 to 12 under head coach Narek Davtyan. The squad includes players from Armenian clubs, as well as foreign-based players competing in Spain, Iran, Russia and Sweden.

Particular attention is drawn to the participation of players from foreign academies: Christopher Hayrapetyan from Spain’s Marcet, Arame Minasyan from Iran’s Persepolis, Mikael Khangeldyan from Spain’s Moncada, Theo Vardanyan from Sweden’s AIK, and Artyom Tatulyan, a representative of Russia’s Kuban.

The U15 tournament will feature the national teams of Armenia, Uzbekistan, Moldova and Georgia. The Armenian team will begin its campaign on May 8 with a match against Uzbekistan. Davtyan’s side will then face Moldova and Georgia.

Coach Arman Arakelyan has called up players from leading Armenian academies, including Pyunik, Urartu, Academy and Noah, as well as players from Germany and Spain. In addition, PAYFA players who passed selection in California, USA, have also been included in the squad.

The first U14 team includes, in particular, Narek Markosyan from Germany’s Biebrich Wiesbaden, Suren Militonyan from Spain’s Getafe and Emilio Zarukyan from Germany’s Darmstadt 1898.

In the U14 tournament, alongside the two Armenian teams, the Latvia national team will also participate.
