Armenia’s U16 Greco-Roman Wrestling Team Takes 3rd Place at Tournament in Ufa

From May 22 to 23, a team Greco-Roman wrestling tournament in memory of Honored Coach of the USSR Vladimir Borman was held in Ufa, Russia, for boys under 16.
Teams from Armenia, Belarus, Moscow, Moscow Region, the Siberian Federal District, Chelyabinsk Region, Tatarstan, and Bashkortostan participated in the tournament.
The competition followed a dual meet format with 10 vs 10 matches.
In the group stage, the Armenian team secured two wins — against Moscow (8:2) and the Siberian Federal District (9:1), but lost to the Moscow Region (4:6). In the semifinal, Armenia suffered another defeat — against Bashkortostan with the same score of 4:6. In the match for third place, Armenia confidently beat Belarus 8:2 and claimed the bronze medal.
The Moscow Region team won the tournament, defeating Bashkortostan 7:3 in the final.
