Unisport sign Champions League winner and another Brazilian ahead of European campaign

Yerevan-based Unisport continue to strengthen their squad ahead of the main round of the UEFA Futsal Champions League. The Armenian club have announced the signing of two Brazilian players — Elisandro and Marquinhos.
The most decorated of the two new arrivals is 37-year-old forward Elisandro. His list of achievements includes winning the Champions League with Spanish side Inter Movistar.
During his career, the Brazilian has also played for Portuguese clubs Benfica and Braga, as well as a number of leading teams in Brazil. Elisandro’s most recent club was Vasco da Gama.
Unisport’s second signing is 24-year-old Marquinhos. The Brazilian has joined the Yerevan club from Kuwaiti side Al-Qadsia.
Marquinhos previously played in Brazil for Ribeiropolis and Traipu, and also represented UAE club Kalba Sharjah.
The two signings significantly strengthen Unisport’s squad ahead of one of their biggest international challenges of the season.
The main round of the Champions League will take place in Luxembourg from October 27 to 30. The Yerevan club will compete for a place in the next stage of the tournament.
