On November 30, the WKF Karate World Championships 2025 concluded in Cairo (Egypt), bringing together the top 32 athletes of the world rankings in each weight category. As a result of the tournament, all winners and medalists in 12 weight divisions were determined.

The Egyptian national team confidently took first place in the overall standings. The hosts of the tournament won 3 gold medals and 1 bronze. Four countries shared second place with identical medal counts — 1 gold, 1 silver, and 1 bronze: Japan, Italy, Iran, and Turkey. Uzbekistan, Jordan, Hong Kong, France, and Germany also secured one gold medal each.

Team Armenia earned one bronze medal, won by Suren Harutyunyan (75 kg). This is the first world championship medal in Armenia’s history.
