Vyacheslav Afyan leaves Armenia U21 camp due to injury

Pyunik Yerevan midfielder Vyacheslav Afyan will be unable to continue preparations with the Armenia U21 national team for the upcoming matches against Italy and Montenegro.
According to the Football Federation of Armenia, Afyan had earlier received a late call-up to Armen Gyulbudaghyants' squad and joined the team. However, the midfielder felt pain after his first training session.
Afyan underwent a medical examination, after which it was determined that he would not be able to continue the training camp with Armenia U21.
As a reminder, Armenia U21 will host Italy U21 on October 1 before facing Montenegro U21 away on October 5. Both matches are part of the 2027 UEFA European Under-21 Championship qualifying campaign.
Earlier, Levon Bashoyan and Edgar Piloyan also withdrew from the Armenia U21 squad due to injuries.
