The head doctor of the Armenian national football team, Pablo Llanes, has arrived at the team’s camp and immediately started working. The Spanish specialist is treating defender Stepa Mkrtchyan, who was injured in the Croatian league.
Despite the schedule of his club “Osijek,” Mkrtchyan is already in Yerevan. It should be noted that on August 31, the Croatian team will play a national league match against “Osijek.”
Llanes, who retained his position in the Armenian national team after the complete change of the coaching staff, posted a photo with the Armenian defender on social media, captioning it: “My first patient, Stepa, dear Stepa.”

The central defender of the Armenian team was injured in the last Croatian league match against “Hajduk.” Despite the injury, he played the full match. However, his participation in the upcoming national team matches remains uncertain.
The Armenian national team will begin its 2026 World Cup qualifying campaign on September 6 against Portugal. The second match will be held on September 9 against Ireland. Both games will take place in Yerevan.
