Eight players leave Yerevan’s Ararat

Yerevan’s Ararat have announced the departure of eight players following the expiration of their contracts.

Kalifala Doumbia, Clinton Dombila, Gor Lulukyan, Afelele Modoluana, Abdul Jire, Yaya Sogodogo, Hadsom Alexander and Ayomide Enialafia have all left the team.

Earlier, Portuguese specialist Ricardo Dionisio also stepped down as Ararat’s head coach.

Last season, the Yerevan-based club finished 9th in the Armenian Premier League. Despite the large number of departures, Ararat’s squad still remains fairly large: at the moment, 20 players are still listed in the team.

At the same time, the club is expected to strengthen the squad with new signings during the summer transfer window.
