Wbeymar Angulo played his milestone 50th match in the Indonesian Championship

Former Armenia national team midfielder Wbeymar Angulo has reached the milestone of 50 matches in the Indonesian Championship with Malut United.

According to Transfermarkt, this is the second-best result in the club’s history. The record belongs to Frets Butuan, who has played 51 matches. At the same time, Angulo is the outright leader of Malut United in terms of minutes played on the pitch.

The 33-year-old midfielder joined the Indonesian club in 2024 from Ararat-Armenia. During his time in the Indonesian Championship, he missed only one match due to suspension. In all other 50 games, Angulo started the match and was substituted only six times.

Angulo has played 10 matches for the Armenia national team and scored two goals. The Colombian played in the Armenian Championship from 2015 to 2024, and in 2020, after five years of residence in the country, he obtained Armenian citizenship and began representing the national team. He was last called up to the Armenia squad in 2023.
