Vazgen Tevanyan ends his run at the 2025 World Wrestling Championships

Armenian freestyle wrestler Vazgen Tevanyan (65 kg) has finished his participation in the 2025 World Championships in Zagreb.
The 25-year-old bronze medalist of the 2023 World Championships from Armenia lost in the first round to Abdulmajid Kadiev of Tajikistan with a score of 8:14. Later, Kadiev was defeated by Uzbekistan’s Umidjon Jalolov (4:8), eliminating Tevanyan’s chances for repechage matches.
In the Armenian national team, only Arsen Harutyunyan (57 kg) continues to compete for a medal. He will face Mexico’s Ramon Bravo Young in the bronze medal match today.
It is worth noting that the Greco-Roman wrestling tournament will begin on September 18.
