The captain of the Armenian national team, Varazdat Haroyan, may leave Pyunik just six months after returning to his hometown club. According to insider Suren Meliksetyan, the 32-year-old defender did not join the team for their training camp in Georgia and is already searching for a new club.
According to the source, Haroyan had a conflict with Pyunik’s head coach Yegishe Melikyan. Several options for the player’s career are currently being considered, including a loan move to BKMA. If Haroyan joins BKMA, he will be able to maintain his match fitness and continue playing for the Armenian national team in upcoming matches.
It should be recalled that Haroyan returned to Pyunik at the beginning of 2025 from the Chinese club Qingdao West Coast, signing as a free agent.
Varazdat has repeatedly stated that he would like to finish his career at his hometown club.
