The match ended in a 1-1 draw. In the 9th minute, Alvin Tera opened the scoring, taking advantage of a defensive mistake. In the 86th minute, "Ararat-Armenia" defender João Queirós received a red card, allowing "Van" to increase the pressure. In the 96th minute, amidst the chaos in front of the goal, defender Robert Hakobyan managed to send the ball into the net. The 28-year-old player had last scored in 2022.
Thanks to this draw, "Van" remains in contention for a top-four finish and a European competition spot, while "Ararat-Armenia" significantly complicated its title race ambitions.
"Van" sits in 5th place with 31 points and has a game in hand, while "Ararat-Armenia" is in 4th place with 39 points.
