Valerio Aboian wins ATP Challenger doubles title in Plovdiv

Argentine tennis player of Armenian descent Valerio Aboian has won the doubles title at the ATP Challenger tournament in Plovdiv.

In the final, Aboian and his compatriot Juan La Serna came from behind to defeat Bulgaria's Adriano Genov and Ukraine's Oleksandr Ovcharenko 4:6, 7:5, 10:8.

The 24-year-old also enjoyed a strong run in the singles event. Aboian won three consecutive matches to reach the semifinals, where he lost to Bulgaria's Yanaki Milev 4:6, 7:5, 2:6.

Thanks to his impressive performance in Plovdiv, the world No. 431 added another ATP Challenger doubles title to his collection and once again demonstrated his excellent form.
