Vahe Aghasyan Wins Gold at European Judo Cup in Tallinn

Armenian judoka Vahe Aghasyan has won the Open European Judo Cup in Tallinn. The Armenian national team athlete claimed gold in the under-60 kg weight category.
The tournament took place from June 6 to 7 in the capital of Estonia. Armenia was represented by six judokas and finished the European Cup with two medals — one gold and one bronze.
The main success for the Armenian team came from Vahe Aghasyan. Competing in the under-60 kg category, he delivered a confident performance and defeated opponents from Great Britain, Israel, Italy and Poland on his way to the title. As a result, the Armenian judoka reached the top step of the podium.
Armenia’s second medal was won by Gor Karapetyan, who competed in the under-100 kg category. He claimed bronze at the European Cup after defeating representatives of Ukraine, Italy and Croatia, but lost to a judoka from Latvia.
After competing in Tallinn, the Armenian national team traveled to Poreč, Croatia, where it is holding a training camp.
