US Open. Karen Khachanov’s Winning Start in New York

Tennis player Karen Khachanov began his US Open campaign with a confident and hard-fought victory. In the first round of the Grand Slam tournament, he defeated Nishesh Basavareddy — 6:7(5), 6:3, 7:5, 6:1.
Throughout the match, Khachanov showcased a powerful serve, delivering 19 aces and recording 58 winners. He was also strong on return, earning 54 points compared to his opponent’s 39.
In the second round of the US Open, Khachanov will face Polish player Kamil Majchrzak. Notably, Khachanov has already defeated him before at Wimbledon in the Round of 16.
Today, Elina Avanesyan will also play her first US Open match against Anastasia Zakharova.
