Urartu Thrash Syunik to Claim First Win of the Season

Urartu claimed their first victory of the new Armenian Premier League season, beating Syunik 3-0 in the third round.

Last season’s top scorer Bruno Michel was the standout performer of the match. The forward opened his account for the new campaign with a brace, scoring both goals from the penalty spot.

New signing Miguel Rajani added another goal and has now found the net in two consecutive matches. Another Urartu newcomer, Katsuyuki Ishibashi, also made an impact by providing an assist.

The victory was Urartu’s first of the season after a draw and a defeat in their opening two matches.

Syunik, meanwhile, remain without a point. They have now lost three matches in a row, conceding three goals in each game.
