“We Have No Limits”: What Armenia Said After the Thrilling 5–4 Against Czechia

After a fiery and emotional match in the second round of UEFA Futsal EURO 2026 against Czechia (5:4), the Armenian national team could not hide their pride and joy. Players and coaches highlighted the team’s character and the special atmosphere within the squad.

Armenian team captain Vladimir Sanosyan, who also scored a goal, called this victory special for the entire country:

“This is a historic win. The game was very tough. But it’s great that we didn’t lose heart. We fought back and managed to win. There’s a great atmosphere in the team, and we’ve worked long and hard to get here. We are like a family. That’s why we’re capable of achieving this. Where are this team’s limits? There are none. We’ll keep surprising futsal fans and our country.”

According to the captain, the key factor was the unity of the team and the years of hard work now starting to pay off at the highest level.

Head coach Ruben Nazaretyan admitted he hadn’t felt emotions like this in a long time:

“This is an amazing feeling — the best in a while. I hope we’ll continue to bring joy to our nation. We’re very confident, and we’ve carried that confidence from the qualification stage. Now we’ll prepare for our final group match against Lithuania.”

He emphasized that the team’s confidence didn’t come out of nowhere — it was built during qualifying, and now it’s vital to keep that mindset heading into the final game of the group stage.

Thanks to this victory, Armenia has secured a place in the UEFA Futsal EURO 2026 playoffs.

The next match is against Lithuania on January 28.
