UFC 324 Loses a Fight? Smotherman Lost Consciousness After Weigh-Ins

Unpleasant news from the weigh-in procedure ahead of UFC 324: the bantamweight bout between Cameron Smotherman (135.5 lbs) and Ricky Turcios (136 lbs) is unlikely to happen.

Smotherman, who successfully made weight, suddenly lost consciousness right after stepping off the scale. As of now, the fight hasn’t been officially cancelled, but its cancellation seems only a matter of time.

It’s also worth noting that the participant in the main event — the interim lightweight title fight — Paddy Pimblett has already successfully weighed in. His opponent, Justin Gaethje, has yet to step on the scale.

UFC 324 will take place on the night of January 24 to 25 in Las Vegas.
