2026 Akhmat Kadyrov Memorial Tournament: All Finalists Confirmed

The finalists have been determined in Grozny at the 2026 international freestyle wrestling tournament dedicated to the memory of Akhmat Kadyrov, the first President of the Chechen Republic.
The competition is taking place on September 15–16. Following the completion of the preliminary rounds and semifinals, the finalists in all ten weight categories have been confirmed.
Armenia was represented by three wrestlers at the tournament, but each of them was eliminated after their opening bout.
In the 61 kg weight category, Levik Mikaelyan was involved in a high-scoring bout against Yunus Yusupov but suffered a 10–8 defeat.
At 65 kg, Hayko Gasparyan faced Iran’s Amir Reza Teymourizad. The Armenian wrestler lost the bout 6–2.
Another Armenian representative, Arman Andreasyan, competing at 70 kg, narrowly lost a closely contested bout against Kazakhstan’s Mais Aliyev by a score of 5–4.
As a result, none of Armenia’s three representatives managed to remain in contention for a medal at the tournament.

The final bouts of the international tournament will take place on September 16. The decisive session is scheduled to begin at 18:00 Moscow time.
