Limassol, Cyprus – At the 2025 Youth European Sambo Championship, the Armenian national team delivered outstanding performances, securing three spots in the finals and claiming three bronze medals.
Finalists:

64 kg: Arshak Beghchyan defeated athletes from Lithuania and Belarus, advancing to the final, where he will face Russia’s Artur Shchikota.

71 kg: Mher Oganyan successively triumphed over sambists from Russia, Greece, and Moldova, earning his place in the final. His opponent will be Georgia’s Mikhail Gaprindashvili.

88 kg: Seyran Sarukhan overcame resistance from Belarusian and Ukrainian competitors, securing his spot in the decisive match against Russia’s Rustam Baituev.
Bronze Medalists:

79 kg: Samvel Kazaryan claimed bronze after defeating a Georgian sambist in the consolation match.

98 kg: Erik Saghatelyan won the bronze medal by defeating a Moldovan athlete.

+98 kg: Arsen Ayrapetyan finished on the podium, winning the third-place bout against an Azerbaijani competitor.
Robert Simonyan (58 kg) placed fifth, losing the bronze medal match to a Georgian wrestler. Anait Sargsyan (59 kg) was eliminated after her first defeat against a Georgian representative.
