Three Armenian Judokas to Compete at the European Open in Warsaw Tomorrow

From February 22 to 23, the European Judo Open will take place in Warsaw, the capital of Poland, with the Armenian national team participating. This will be the first tournament for Armenian judokas in 2025.

Armenian National Team Roster:

  • 60 kg category: Ashik Andreyan – first match against Roi Rosen (Israel).
  • 73 kg category: Artak Torosyan – first match against Aron Zsabo (Hungary).
  • 81 kg category: Grigory Pasevin – first match against Zhilard Radwanski (Romania).

For the 24-year-old Pasevin, this tournament will be his debut as part of the Armenian national team. He is the Russian youth sambo champion.

Additionally, Armenian athletes representing other countries will also compete in Warsaw:

  • 60 kg: Vache Adamyan (Austria).
  • 66 kg: Gagik Martirosyan (Ukraine).
  • 66 kg: Karo Maradyan (Ukraine).
