Armenian footballer Tigran Barseghyan participated in the prestigious "Athlete of the Year 2024" award ceremony in Slovakia, where his club, ŠK Slovan Bratislava, secured an honorable third place in the "Best Team of the Year" category.
This achievement marked yet another milestone for Slovakia’s most decorated club. The year 2024 was historic for the "Whites"—the team claimed its sixth consecutive championship title, which became the 30th in the club's history. In addition to national success, Slovan also made an impact on the European stage. In the Champions League qualifiers, the team successfully overcame opponents such as Struga, Celje, APOEL, and Midtjylland, earning a place in the group stage of Europe's most prestigious club tournament.
In the "Best Team of the Year" category, Slovan secured an honorable third place. The Slovak national tennis team took first place, while the Slovak national football team finished second.
