Syunik beat Gandzasar in Kapan derby to reach 11 points

Syunik defeated Gandzasar 2–1 in the Kapan derby on November 8 in Round 13 of the Armenian Premier League. The match took place at Sisian City Stadium.

All three goals came in the first half. Alen Karapetyan put Syunik ahead in the fifth minute. Tomas Rocha equalised in the 25th minute, but the hosts regained the lead shortly before the break through Vahagn Hayrapetyan, who scored in the 43rd minute.

His goal proved to be the winner, as neither side scored in the second half.

The result marked Syunik’s third victory of the league campaign. They now have 11 points and sit tenth in the standings. Gandzasar remain bottom with three points.
