Armenia national team midfielder Eduard Spertsyan has taken part in Al-Ahli’s traditional initiation ceremony for new players.
During a team dinner, the footballer stood on a chair and performed a Portuguese song featuring the famous “Nossa, nossa” chorus. His teammates supported the newcomer with applause.
Judging by footage from the training camp, the Armenia captain has quickly settled into his new team and found common ground with Al-Ahli’s Brazilian players. Since his first days at the Saudi club, Spertsyan has often spent time with Galeno, Matheus Gonçalves and Ricardo Mathias.
Spertsyan joined Al-Ahli from Krasnodar this summer. The transfer fee was €22 million.
The Armenian midfielder has already scored for his new club, finding the net in his first friendly match.
