In the 18th round of the Russian Premier League, Krasnodar defeated CSKA Moscow 3–2 at home, extending their unbeaten streak to nine matches and finishing the first half of the season in first place.
CSKA opened the scoring in the 11th minute through Moises. However, before halftime the hosts equalized thanks to Jhon Córdoba, and in the second half scored twice in a row. In the 51st minute, after Eduard Spertsyan’s corner, Victor Sá headed the ball into the net, and later João Batxi also scored.
For Spertsyan, this assist became his 13th of the season. In 18 matches, Krasnodar’s captain has already recorded 21 goal contributions (8 goals + 13 assists) — more than the number of games played. In the 67th minute, he came close to scoring from a free kick, but the ball struck the crossbar.
CSKA’s situation worsened in the 68th minute when Moises received a second yellow card, leaving his team with ten men. Despite this, CSKA managed to pull one back in stoppage time — Mateus Alves scored in the 95th minute, but the visitors couldn’t achieve more.
