Spertsyan scores and assists as Al-Ahli advance to King’s Cup last 16 (VIDEO)

Armenia captain Eduard Spertsyan has continued his impressive start for Al-Ahli. The Armenian midfielder scored and provided an assist in the King’s Cup round of 32 against Al-Anwar, playing a direct role in both of his team’s goals.
Al-Ahli claimed a 2-1 victory. Spertsyan opened the scoring in the 61st minute before setting up Galeno in the 89th minute for the winning goal.
Just a minute earlier, Eduard had another opportunity to score but failed to hit the target. The Armenian midfielder also struck the woodwork several times during the match.
It was Spertsyan’s second consecutive game with a goal contribution. He had previously scored Al-Ahli’s only and winning goal in the opening round of the Saudi league season.
Spertsyan now has two goals and one assist in his first two official appearances for Al-Ahli.
