On March 9, the Women's Boxing World Championship will kick off in Belgrade, with the Armenian national team participating. The national squad includes four athletes:
50 kg - Anush Grigoryan
54 kg - Ekaterina Sycheva
60 kg - Sona Harutyunyan
63 kg - Elida Kocharyan
Unfortunately, the 2022 European champion Ani Ovsepyan (70 kg) is forced to miss the tournament due to an injury.
The head coach of the Armenian team, Vazgen Badalyan, has conducted rigorous training sessions, preparing the boxers for a successful performance. The women's team hopes to achieve a worthy result and etch a new name in the history of Armenian boxing.
It is worth noting that Armenian athletes have yet to win a medal in the history of the Women's World Championships.
