Slavik Galstyan — bronze medalist at the 2025 World Greco-Roman Wrestling Championship

Armenian Greco-Roman wrestler Slavik Galstyan (67 kg) won a bronze medal at the 2025 World Championships in Zagreb. In the third-place match, the 28-year-old athlete earned a spectacular 15:5 victory over Kyrgyzstan’s Razzak Beyshekeev.
The bout was tense and entertaining. After the first round, Galstyan was trailing 1:5, but in the second half of the match he showed character and managed to turn the tide. The Armenian wrestler scored points both in par terre and in standing position, demonstrating willpower and skill. Many experts are already calling this bout one of the best in his career.
For Galstyan, this is his second World Championship bronze — the first one he won back in 2019.
At the end of the tournament, Armenia’s national team finished its performance in Zagreb with three medals: 1 gold and 2 bronze.
The world champion was Malkhas Amoyan (77 kg), while bronze medals went to Hrachya Poghosyan (60 kg) and Slavik Galstyan (67 kg).
