Former Shirak striker Ly Yamin Yoro dies at 37

Former Shirak forward Ly Yamin Yoro has passed away at the age of 37 due to illness. The news has deeply saddened the Armenian football community, where the Senegalese player left a significant legacy.

Yoro played for Shirak from 2011 to 2014 and became one of the club’s key figures during that period. With the Gyumri side, he won the Armenian Premier League title and lifted the Armenian Cup. The forward scored 24 goals in 82 appearances, earning recognition as one of the best foreign players to ever compete in Armenia.

After leaving Shirak in 2014, Yoro continued his career in Israel, Portugal, Latvia, and Finland. In 2018, he returned to Gyumri for a second spell with Shirak, where he eventually ended his professional career.

Ly Yamin Yoro will be remembered as a talented footballer and a respected figure both on and off the pitch.
