Yoel Romero vs. Bo Nickal bout at RAF 5 cancelled

The organizers of the RAF 5 freestyle wrestling event have announced changes to the fight card. The bouts Yoel Romero vs. Bo Nickal and Pat Downey vs. Stefan Buchanan have been officially cancelled.

The reason was weight-cutting issues: Yoel Romero and Stefan Buchanan failed to make the required weight limit. As a result, the format of the matchups was changed.

Romero and Buchanan will now face each other in a catchweight bout. Meanwhile, Bo Nickal will retain his light heavyweight championship title without defending it at this event.

The RAF 5 tournament will take place on the night of January 10–11 in Sunrise, Florida, USA. The show will also feature Armenian UFC fighter Arman Tsarukyan, who will compete against Lance Palmer.
