The Gyumri-based football club "Shirak" has expressed its position in response to the Armenian Football Federation's (FFA) initiative to change the format of the Premier League. In an official statement, the club stated that the FFA leadership is worsening the problems of Armenian football on a daily basis, and the only way out of the current situation is the immediate resignation of the federation's current leadership. Only after this, according to the club, can discussions about the restoration and development of football in the country take place.

Shirak’s statement:

"We have already said it, and we insist on it now. Every day that the acting leaders of the FFA remain in place, our football is being buried, buried, and will continue to bury us under even bigger problems. Therefore, the acting FFA leaders must simply step down, and they must do so immediately.
Perhaps only then can we begin to think about making Armenian football healthy again."

Earlier, it was reported that the FFA proposed a reform of the championship system. Premier League and First League clubs were invited to consider possible changes and submit their proposals by February 20. After that, the FFA plans to summarize the discussions and present the results to the Executive Committee for review.
