Shara Bullet failed to arrive in Armenia and did not reach Yerevan today. As a result, the Hype Fighting tournament press conference is now in serious doubt.
The situation was commented on by Arman Tsarukyan, who harshly criticized his opponent during a live stream on his social media:
“He’s some kind of strange pirate. He doesn’t want to conquer Armenia. Looks like he got scared. Looks like all his talk was just empty words. We’ll see tomorrow if the press conference happens. Will this pirate show up or not? If not, his nickname should be changed. You know to what…”
In response, Shara Bullet’s coach Gor Azizyan stated that the accusations do not reflect reality:
“I just watched your video where you seriously discuss things you don’t know about. First of all, Shara was not late — Shara was there. Secondly, the flight was canceled, and no one even informed us. We arrived, and there was no one there. Moreover, we bought the tickets at our own expense and hope to fly to Yerevan now. Why make such statements? Please stop these conversations.”
As of today, Shara Bullet has still not arrived in Yerevan and therefore will not be able to attend the press conference. If he does not fly to Armenia by December 30, he may be replaced by Kuat Khamitov. The Kazakh fighter announced this himself on social media.
Khamitov is already in Yerevan and is listed for the Hype Fighting tournament as a commentator.
The tournament will take place on December 30 at the Karen Demirchyan Sports and Concert Complex in Yerevan. In the main event of the evening, UFC fighters Arman Tsarukyan and Shara Bullet are scheduled to face each other in a grappling match under submission-only rules. All other bouts on the card will be bare-knuckle fights.
The press conference will take place on December 28 at 9:00 PM, with the broadcast available on the KICK platform.
