Russian media reported that 55-year-old Russian specialist Sergey Yuran is being considered as a candidate for the position of head coach of the Armenian national team.
However, Armenian football insider Suren Meliksetyan denied these claims, stating that the Armenian Football Federation is considering other options.
Sergey Yuran himself commented on the rumors about his potential work with the national team in an interview with "RB Sport":
"I would be interested in leading the Armenian national football team. I am ready to consider such an offer, especially since I have already worked in this country. I really liked Yerevan, and I know how sports are developing there. I believe that the Armenian team has strong players who can compete for a spot in the World Cup.
Moreover, there are many players in the Armenian national team who play in the Russian championship, and I know them well. In general, I will repeat, I would be interested, but so far, no one has called me," Yuran stated.
