Tonight, on January 23–24, in Las Vegas at the UFC META APEX arena, the long-awaited debut of a new boxing promotion will take place — Zuffa Boxing 1. This marks the first event of a closed professional boxing league created by UFC President Dana White, where fighters compete under exclusive contracts, similar to the UFC system.
The project was officially announced on June 18, 2025, when Dana White confirmed that TKO Group Holdings, the parent company of UFC, was launching a boxing league under the Zuffa Boxing brand — reviving an idea first discussed back in 2017.
The main goal of Zuffa Boxing is to transfer the successful UFC business model into professional boxing by building a competitive, well-structured, and highly entertaining league.
