The Portuguese national team claimed an important 2–1 victory over Germany ahead of their match against Armenia, in the UEFA Nations League semifinal. The game took place on June 4 in Munich.
Florian Wirtz opened the scoring for the hosts, but Francisco Conceição and Cristiano Ronaldo turned the game around and secured Portugal’s place in the final.
On June 8, also in Munich, Portugal will face the winner of the France vs Spain match in the final. Germany, meanwhile, will play in the third-place match.
As a reminder, on September 6, Armenia will kick off their 2026 FIFA World Cup qualification campaign with a home match against Portugal in Yerevan.
