Portugal national team announces squad for matches against Ireland and Armenia

Portugal head coach Roberto Martínez has revealed the squad list for the final 2026 World Cup qualifying matches against Ireland and Armenia. The squad includes a new player — 21-year-old winger Carlos Forbs from Club Brugge, who recently scored a brace against Barcelona. This is his first call-up to the national team.

The match between Armenia and Portugal will take place on November 16 in Porto and will be the final game for both teams in Group F of the 2026 World Cup qualifiers. Portugal has almost secured a place in the World Cup, while Armenia needs a victory to keep their playoff hopes alive.
In the first match in Yerevan, Portugal won 5–0.
