The Armenian women's boxing team has finished its participation in the 2025 World Championship, held in Belgrade, Serbia. Today, on March 11, three Armenian athletes stepped into the ring, but unfortunately, they could not secure victories.
In the 50 kg weight category, Anush Grigoryan faced North Korea’s Kum An and lost with a score of 0:5.
Elida Kocharyan, competing in the 60 kg weight class, could not overcome Serbia’s Natalya Shadrina, losing the bout with the same score of 0:5.
In the 63 kg category, Sona Harutyunyan suffered a defeat against Latvian boxer Ekaterina Sorokina. The fight ended with a technical knockout in the second round.
Earlier in the tournament, Ekaterina Sicheva (54 kg) had also lost her fight, marking the end of Armenia’s participation in this championship.
