The Armenian national basketball team began its EuroBasket 2029 pre-qualification campaign with a loss to Bulgaria — 88:98. The game was played as part of Group B.
The match was special for the national team: naturalized American guard Christian Vital made his debut for Armenia, immediately becoming one of the leaders with 27 points and 8 rebounds.
