Armenia U17 national team earns first official win in 5.5 years (VIDEO)

The Armenia U17 national team defeated their peers from San Marino 1–0 in the final match of the second round of UEFA U17 European Championship qualification. The match took place on May 18 in the city of Bijeljina, Bosnia and Herzegovina.
The only and winning goal was scored in the 84th minute by Arsen Arakelyan, who represents Urartu Yerevan.

As a result of the mini-tournament, Armenia finished third in the group with 3 points.
This victory was especially significant — it ended a winless streak that lasted more than five and a half years. The last time Armenia U17 won an official match was in October 2019, defeating Iceland 1–0.
